We’re pleased to introduce our newest property, The Junipero, now leasing and scheduled for completion in October 2021. This historic building is undergoing a complete renovation, including the addition of an adjoining two story structure.
The ground floor Alberta space, formerly home to Bernie’s Bistro, will be The Alberta District’s hallmark retail or restaurant location, divisible up to 1825 square feet. The completely renovated second floor, which formerly housed Bitch Magazine, is undergoing a studs-out renovation, divisible to 2081 square feet, with incredible views of the neighborhood through all new energy efficient windows.
The new adjoining building, with a first floor divisible up to 1508 square feet, featuring private garden areas, and a second floor divisible up to 1632 square feet, would be an excellent home for a wide variety of retail or commercial tenants.
The Junipero is named in homage to the environmentally harvested Juniper wood that will be used on the exterior siding, purchased from our friends at Sustainable NW, one of Oregon’s premier non-profits helping build communities. The building interior will also feature a variety of sustainable woods, including white oak harvested from the property. A 15K solar system feeds the building. During renovation we discovered wonderful exterior graphics that could not be saved due to lead paint contamination, but they will be lovingly recreated on an exterior wall.
